An Update

It's been a while since our last entry, here on our news page. We've been really busy, for example with attaching Shiva's cage to our central heating system.

Also, the quite intensive winter was very straining, while our tiger simply enjoyed the snow. Right now, they're dealing with shedding off their old winter fur and are plagued by countless mosquitos.

We will soon publish a summary of events of the last 9 months. Until then, we wish you some nice Whitsun holidays.

Small Surgery on tigress Shiva

Ober the past couple of weeks, a zyst with the size of a chery had been developing under Shivas belly fur. This zyst was removed succesfully on last Friday. Shiva is doing fine, but has to stay under our observation for the next couple of days. The reason for that is her fresh suture, which she's not allowed to lick at.

The removed tissue has been sent to the laboratory for further examination by our veterinary, Dr. Kreher. We'll keep our fingers crossed for a harmless result.

Merry Christmas

MaykWe wish all friends of the Tigerranch a merry Christmas!

Our tigers have been presented with tasty meat with whipped cream as christmas gifts. Right now, they're enjoying the few rays of sunlight. To us, it's rather displeasingly cold outside, while our tigers don't seem to care. Nevertheless, they're enjoying their straw beds.

Day 17-23 after Heidi's surgery: Outdoors again

After an easy week Heidi has been allowed to visit her outdoor enclosure today. She enjoyed it so very much. She has grown a little bit fur on her tummy again and the suture continues to heal well.
